Trust God

I wish I could say I never have problems, that I never have needs and that all
is perfect for me and my family.  However that is not the way life is.  Our family
has felt the brunt of the economy very much the same as everyone has.  Me,
well I just pray.  We have a house situation and are in real need of a larger home
but getting a mortgage is not easy these days and renting a home is almost as
hard to do.  We have found a home that we would really love to have.  All the
space we need.  So I have prayed and put this in God's hands.  Of course we will
do what we need to but it doesn't look possible right now.  Then I think on it and
recall a scripture:

Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all

things are possible.”

So my hope is within God's hands and written in His word.  He knows what we
can handle and he will send us in the right direction and to the right people.  The
example of this for me came last night.  My little Grandson has been sick and I
was not feeling so well yesterday evening.  I had prayed for the baby and the rest
of the family.  Though I was still feeling a little down.  The telephone rang, a young
man from a very powerful ministry, "Breakthrough" thanked me for the small
donation I had sent for the children's outreach,  but went on to say, "Do you or
your family need prayer today?"   I was so blessed by this.  This young man could have called at any given time over the last 2 months, but on the day that I needed
someone to pray for me and for my family, that is when the call came!  See how
great our God is?  He knows what you need right when you need it!  Praise God!
Trust God today with all you have, He is listening and watching and He is waiting.

I pray God will Bless you abundantly today and always!

The Cloud Moved

Philippians 2:11
Every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord

If you are a Christian this scripture should excite you.  If you are not a Christian
know that there will come a time that you will know this scripture was meant for
you too.  If God said it and it is part of His word it is absolute truth.  I personally
am moved by this scripture.

I made it through childhood and my teenage years with much prayer from my
mother and awesome guidance from the word of God.  I strayed, I made mistakes,
yet God was always with me.  I married and had children and I taught them as my
mother taught me about God.  I was in my late twenties when I felt the call of God
on my life.  Like many I was not quite sure exactly what God wanted from me.  I
belonged to an Assembles of God Church and was asked to teach Sunday School.
It was a blessing for me to teach the little ones.  Though I was not eased in my
spirit that this is what God wanted from me.  I prayed constantly,  hoping that God
would give me another direction if there was something else He wanted me to do.
When I would pray,  the scriptures of God appearing as a cloud over the people
Moses was leading into Canaan would come to me.  "When the cloud moved, God
was moving"   Then one night I had a dream, "There was a church service going on,
the people were quibbling among themselves.  The children were running around and climbing over seats and making noise.  I looked up at the Pastor in question only to see him step down from the pulpit and walk away.  I watched him walk all the way to the door and leave.  I stood and took my children by the hands and walked up the aisle to the door.  As I passed a woman in the church she said, "The Spirit of God has left this place!"  and I woke up.  I tried to shake the dream and could not.  I prayed and still
the scriptures of Moses following the cloud, which was God, kept coming to me.

Exodus 13: 21-22 (NIV)
By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

I finally went to the Pastor,  he shared some things with me and also confirmed that
the dream I had was probably a gift of prophesy from God.  It seems little Church I belonged was suffering some underlying issues that I was not aware of.  The conflict among the people was keeping everyone from fully giving God the worship He deserved and the knowledge the people did need to grow.   He also shared with me that the coming Sunday would be his last service in the church.

I fully believe that God was leading me out of the church and that the dream I shared
with the Pastor was to let him know he was making the right decision.  The "Cloud"
was God and He wanted me to be somewhere that I could grow.  The dream was the
leaving of anarchy behind me.  In all of this I learned to listen and wait for what God wanted for me.  As with me God wants you to be where you grow and are blessed.
He wants you to serve Him in the fullness of the scriptures.  I pray this is so for all
who read this.

I pray today that God Blesses You Abundantly!

God and Me 2

I have let a few days pass since my last post.  I needed to do some pondering
and also allow the posts to sit.  Sometimes to much is just that...  to much.  I
have learned that things of God need to be meditated upon and thought through.
In todays world with everything being instantaneous we still need to ponder and
take our time with God.  There is no drive through service, He is a full course, sit
down dinner and you need to savor every word.

In Psalm 46:10 He says,  Be still, and know that I am God

So take your time when you read His word, when you pray and when you praise.
God is a rewarder of those who seek Him and serve Him.

When I became a teenager,  I was oh so rebellious.  I look back now and I feel so
sorry for my parents.  However they loved me through the hard times and gave
me the support I needed to become a responsible adult.  God did the same for me.
The one thing I found out as a young adult was that God was not looking at my out
side, He was looking at my inside.  He knew my heart.  I was brought up to think
that women could not wear pants, or make-up, listen to music, watch TV, go to a
movie, bare their arms in public or dance.  A lot of this was misconstrued man made
doctrine.  Like I said, I found out through His word that He loved me right where I
was, just like I was.  I read in God's word, that David who God said was a man after
His own heart, danced for the Lord.  That many times in the word when God was celebrated there was dancing.  I read in Solomon that women adorned themselves,
and that this was okay with God.  Essentially I found out how to serve my God,
Your God...  In His Word!  In this Holy Ghost inspired Book are the answers to how
and what God expects you to do.  This book, this manual that God gave us is over
2,000 years old and still applies to us today.  Amen!

I pray that God blesses you abundantly today and always!

God and Me 1

There was no tragic incident which led me to God in the beginning.  I was 8 years
old when the Holy Spirit touched my heart.  I prayed the prayer of salvation even
though I may not have fully understood it's magnitude.  I read what I could of the
Bible and listened intently at Sunday School and Church.  I prayed every day and
in my child like way I witnessed to whoever would listen.  I had no idea how long
the road was  ahead of me and all I would learn over the years.

My mother was my best teacher and she loved the Lord.  I would kneel beside her
in church along with my 3 little brothers.  The spirit of God was so close to her you could feel Him.  She would lift her hands in praise and thanksgiving to Him, so I followed her example.  We were not a well to do family, heck we weren't even
middle class.  But God always supplied what we needed.  She trusted in Him totally
and sometimes when it seemed there was no way,  God blessed us and made a way.
Her faith was strong and unwaivering.   My Dad though was not so yielding.  He was not a bad man,  on the contrary my Dad was a good and loving man.  He and my mother just had very different ideas about God.  I sometimes wonder if their
differences of opinion kept us from receiving the full abundance of God.  In fact I am sure that it did.  My Mom was always praying for my Dad...  Yes, God did answer
those prayers of hers but not til years later.  God knew when my Dad would be
ready.

Why am I writing  this little bit of Biography about myself.  I suppose so that when
you read my Blogs you will know that I am a person that has followed a road much
like some who will read it.  So that it will be known that I have had to find my way
with God too.  That each scripture I post is because it has been personal and has
enriched my life as I hope it will yours.  I know from experience that there is not one
word of God that you can't apply to your life and know that it is for you...  the same
as it was for me.  So read if you are interested.  Share if it Blesses you!

2 Corinthians 1:3-4(NIV)

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

I pray that God will Bless you abundantly today!

Prayer 7

I have written of prayer everyday this last week and I know how positive it is
for all that believe.   However to me the most powerful and rewarding prayer
is the prayer of confession to God of our sins and beliefs in Christ.  With this
prayer we are always given the gift of salvation.  Because it is a gift it is some-
thing we always will have.  It is a very emotional and rewarding experience.
Some say that they can feel the weight of sin lift off of them.  Which is exactly
what happens.  Praying and inviting Christ into your live is an awesome
experience.  This is when God has the absolute opportunity to move in our
lives the way He should.

Here are some scriptures for you to read and ponder on:

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (KJV)

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  (KJV)

John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  (KJV)

You see it doesn't matter how good you are unless you ask for forgiveness  and
confess Christ as Lord,   you are not saved.
This prayer is what you need:

Father, I ask that you cleanse me from all sin and unrighteousness
I believe that Jesus was born of the virgen Mary and was crucified for us
That he rose from the dead and ascended into the heavens to be at your right hand
I confess this before you God and Man
Thank you Father God
In the Name of Christ Jesus
Amen

I hope you pray this prayer and I pray that God will bless you abundantly today!

Prayer 6

Does prayer really work?  If this question in on your mind because you don't
see the answer please read this.  Yes I believe that it does.  In my life I have seen
many prayers answered.  Some have been almost instantaneous and some
have been purely in God's timing.  Keep this scripture in mind when you pray:

2 Peter 3:8
8. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Let me share with you a personal experience of a very innocent prayer.  As my
children were growing up, I would sit beside their beds each night and read to
them.  At the end of our reading sessions we would kneel beside the bed to pray.
We would pray this prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord
My soul to take!
In the name of Jesus, Amen

There was not a night that went by that we did not do this.  When my youngest
son was 27 years old, he went to bed and died of a massive heart attack in his
sleep.  Do I believe that prayer was still there for him.  Yes I do.  That earnest
and innocent prayer of a child was not forgotten.  God used His time to answer
that prayer.  He knew the minute it was spoken the first time when my son would
need the answer for that prayer. Just as He knows what you need when you ask.

So be patient when you pray.  Lay your prayer at the alter of God and trust that
He will answer when the time is right.  I believe that there is no prayer that goes
unheard or unanswered.  We serve an awesome God!

I Pray That God Blesses You Abundantly Today And Always!

Prayer 5

Does God hear our prayers?  I believe the answer in yes.  Why would he not
answer the prayers of His children.  We may not always get the answer we
seek, but He does answer.  I also believe that "Praise and Prayer"  are of the
utmost importance.  Letting God know that we worship Him and adore Him.
That He is the driving force in our live.

How would you define a righteous man or woman?   Well the Synonyms  for
"Righteous" are...    all right, decent, ethical, honest, honorable, just, moral, nice,
right, good, right minded, straight, true, upright and virtuous.  Though God knows
we are not perfect.  This is why He sacrificed His only Son, so that we might
have an intercessor.  In His word it is written:

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV)
21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

So then we can find joy and peace in knowing that, Christ is our righteousness
and God does hear our prayers.   Jesus in essence is our attorney who stands
before God, our judge and pleads our case.   Because Jesus took all our sin
upon Him our time has already been served...   He took our punishment.  If we
believe.

I am not a perfect person,  I do my best,  but I am always aware that I am
made of flesh and blood and I do make mistakes.  So I ask for God's forgiveness
daily.  Yes He hears our prayers!  Because when we believe when we pray,  God
will see the righteousness of Christ who takes away the sin of the world.

I Pray That God Will Bless You Abundantly Today And Always!

Prayer 3

Pray without ceasing!  In every interpretation of the Bible it says the same thing.
So it is obvious that prayer is a very important factor in our relationship with God!   How else would be fruitful,  how else could we grow and stay in His love and guidance. Communication is taught everywhere...  husbands and wives break
down because they don't communicate.  Children stray from their parents...
because they don't communicate.   We fail to excel in school or jobs because we
don't communicate...  and so on and so on.  Serving God is no different.  We communicate our needs, our desires, our anger and our hurts, our love and our
praise for Him.  We do this all in prayer.

This is exactly what the scriptures say:

1 Thessalonians 5:12-18

But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, 13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. 14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people. 16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Prayer 2

I don't think that there is one of us that has not worried about something that we
have needed in our life.  God tells us not to worry, however he expects us to seek
the answers in prayer and in His word.  It is hard to let go of some things when
they appear so detrimental in our lives,  but God says we must.  As a Christian we
have to learn to trust Him and to let go and let Him handle things.

Matthew 6:31- 34
31) So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
32) For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
33)  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
34) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

So then let us earnestly pray and ask God what it is He wants us to do in each day.
Ask Him for the opportunity to be a Blessing in someone's life.  Pray and trust that
people will see God in you today.  By seeking God's will, by trusting His word we enable God to function in our lives.  Just like entering our house, if the door is
closed we can't get inside we have to unlock it to get the fullness of our home.  So
let your prayers and seeking in the word open your life up to the fullness of God!

I Pray That God Blesses You Abundantly Today!

Prayer

Prayer a necessary part of serving God everyday.  The Word of God tells us that
He knows our needs before we ask, but He does expect us to ask.  Much like we
do of our own children.  Many times a day I speak to the Lord, for my needs but
sometimes just to thank Him for all He does for me.  In those times I may not be on
my knees but I am always reverent to the Lord.  He is my friend when I am lonely,
my protector when I am afraid, my comforter when I am hurt...  He is my everything.
I need to communicate with God.  I am supposed to communicate with God just as
you should.

Jesus gave us a direction to pray in and it is so simple to follow.  I will break it
down for you as it was taught to me.

Prayer
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done,  on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts,  as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Verse 9 is telling us to Worship God in our prayer, to lift Him up before we begin to
fully pray.  He is worthy, wonderful, holy....
Verse 10, pray that God will return quickly our soul desires to be with Him but ask
Him to help you to keep your life in His Word and Ways.
Verse 11, then ask Him for what you need and what He desires for you.
Verse 12, Always ask His forgiveness.  We fail daily.  There is not one of us that is perfect.  Also ask Him to help you to forgive others who come against you.  There
are always people who will say things or do things that might anger or hurt us.  God does not want us to retaliate but He wants us to forgive.
Verse 13, ask Him to help you against the enemy.  To be strong in His word and to
have His strength against the enemy of God.

Of course we all then know to always Thank God for what he does for us. He is all
things for us.  Without Him we just move through life.

This is how I was taught to pray and the explanation helped me,  I hope it helps you!
May God Bless You Abundantly today!

He Is Risen

As I sit here and read the Word of God about our "Risen Lord"  I can truly feel the
moving of the Holy Spirit in the words and my soul.  The excitement that God has
given so much to us and asks so little in return.  Just that we believe!  Many may
scoff, ridicule and doubt but in my spirit I know that the "Word of God" is truth.
So as Christians:

REJOICE FOR HE IS RISEN
OUR LORD LIVES!
GOD'S PROMISE IS FULFILLED
FOR US ALL!

 Luke 24:1-8
 1. On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3. but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them  5. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6. He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:  7. The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'"  8. Then they remembered his words.

May God Bless You Abundantly Today!

Christ Our Champion

Christ is our Champion.  The Image is only a fictional representation of what Christ has done for us.  He was and will always be the Champion!

Jesus Takes The Keys To Hell And Death

(Rev. 1:18) Jesus took the keys of hell and death. The devil’s power is broken because the devil did not have “THE RIGHT” to break the Promised Seed’s hold on life as was stated in the (Gen. 3:15) prophesy because a certain situation existed of which no one was aware but God. (Rom. 5:12-21) “Death reigned” because God had given Adam, the first man, a simple choice that was actually a key. Eat of the tree of life and live or eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and die. Simply put, do you choose life or death? Adam disobeyed God’s command to not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or they will die. Adam and Eve chose to follow Satan’s way and chose death. That act gave the key of death to Satan, the devil. (Rom. 3:23 & 1John 1:19) “All have sinned” because Adam’s sin and death were handed down from generation to generation. Thus sin and death are always "hooked" together. God instituted a law of forgiveness of sin to Moses and the Jews. (Heb. 10:1-5) “But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” The Jews failed and the law failed because (Gal. 3:21) the Law could not give life. (Heb. 4:15) Jesus was human just like us but He did not sin. Satan, using people, killed Jesus; (Gen. 3:15) “bruise his heel”. Satan did not have the right to kill Jesus because Jesus did not sin and when Satan killed Jesus that unhooked sin from death.

Essentially when Jesus rose from the dead he conquered death and gave those who believe, eternal life.  He was a sacrifice for us!  At this very moment I am in total awe over what God has done for us all.  I am weak but He is strong.  May He live through me today and always!  God Bless You All!

Why Is Good Friday Called Good?

Why is  Good Friday "good"? That question puzzles not only children but many adults as well. After all, it isn't obvious that we should call Good Friday good, since it is the day on which our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. How can Good Friday be good when it commemorates the day on which the sins of mankind brought about the death of our Savior?

The  Baltimore Catechism  declares that  Good Friday is called good  because Christ, by His Death, "showed His great love for man, and purchased for him every blessing." Good, in this sense, means "holy," and indeed Good Friday is known as Holy and Great Friday among Eastern Christians, both Catholic and Orthodox. Good Friday is also known as Holy Friday in the Romance languages.

In the end, the historical origins of why Good Friday is called Good Friday remain unclear, but the theological reason is very likely the one expressed by the Baltimore Catechism: Good Friday is good because the death of Christ, as terrible as it was, led to the Resurrection on  Easter Sunday,  which brought new life to those who believe.

So today let us bow our heads in reverence and thank God for Jesus!   For it is through Him that we obtain the gift of Salvation.

I Am Blessed

Sometimes it is hard to see the forest for the the trees.  Everyday is filled with
trials to overcome and decisions you have to make.  If you are a parent you
know how difficult it is to get through a day.  However the fact still remains that
if we love God and we put our days in His hands we will always live a blessed
life.  Even though it doesn't seem like it sometimes.

When we take the steps to let God in our lives then He is in control of
everything so how could we not be blessed?  Look around you at the beauty
God has created for you.  The flowers and the trees, your child's smile and if
you haven't any children, the companionship of a sweet pet.  Your friends and
family.  I could go on and on.  Essentially God may not give us everything we
want but he gives us everything we need.  Or as one Pastor told me, "God gives
you what you can handle!"

When we celebrate the presence of the LORD as our chief delight, He will give us the "desires" of our hearts.  Note that the word translated "desires" comes from the Hebrew verb sha'al, which means to ask or request something.  The deepest needs, desires, and questions of our hearts are all bound up in the life and love of God.  Whatever else we might think we desire, God knows that what we truly need is His love and delight within us.

When our affections are centered upon the Lord and we delight in Him, the deepest yearnings of our heart will be fulfilled by His personal love and grace for us.  We shall ask what we will, and it shall be given unto us.  And we shall be completely satisfied in Him, since our enjoyment and worship of Him is our greatest gift and good, in this life and in the life to come.

Here are some Scriptures that will strengthen your belief that God wants us to have good things:

Psalms 10:17 LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

Psalms 21:1 The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Psalms 107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Psalms 145:16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Proverbs 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Daniel 2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

May God Bless You Today!
